About Chuck

 

Chuck and his wife of 44 years, Barbara, have lived in the 67th District for nearly their entire marriage. As a civic activist and volunteer, Chuck has served in numerous leadership roles over the past four decades.

 

In addition to his service in the House of Delegates, where he sits on the Finance and Counties, Cities and Towns Committees, Chuck also serves on the Board for the Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation. As the former Vice-Chair of both the Fairfax County School Board and the Northern Virginia Community College Board of Trustees as well as a former PTA President of the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, Chuck has a passion for public education.

 

Chuck with his wife BarbaraChuck feels strongly that schools are the foundation of our community; not only determining the success of our children; but also training a workforce and ensuring a strong local economy. He loves the classroom, and makes time to visit students across the district.

 

Chuck's resume reveals an impressive list of contributions to local and national associations, boards and councils. When his children were growing up, Chuck was involved as a coach in many sports, from soccer to wrestling. He enjoys hunting, fishing, jogging, hiking, bridge and spending time with his grandchildren.

 

A career federal employee, Chuck retired after 38 years – 4 years with FAA and 34 with the Defense Information Systems Agency. He was a member of the Senior Executive Service. Much of his career experience involved disaster and emergency preparedness, particularly in the area of telecommunications.

 

Chuck with his wife, daughter & grandkids.Chuck has acquired a breadth of experience that he enjoys putting to work for his community, and he is privileged to serve as your full time Delegate. In the General Assembly, Chuck constantly strives to improve our transportation infrastructure, public education and successful partnerships with civic organizations, businesses and the government.
